New India Assurance Donates New Urdu Classroom at Andrew’s Primary School

Mr. G Srinivasan, Chair- man-cum-Managing Direc- tor of New India Assurance Co. Ltd. visited Andrew Primary School, Nadi on 14 April 2015 and donated the books for the library of the school.

During his visit to school, Mr. Anasa, Head Teacher of the school requested Mr. Srinivasan for the financial assistance for their proposed new classroom for Urdu Classes. Mr. Srinivasan happily accepted the request and approved F$ 20,000 as financial assistance for the proposed new class room for Urdu.

23rd October 2015 marked a very important day in the school’s history when Mr. Subhash Mehta, Chief Operating Officer of New India Assurance Fiji had inaugurated and opened the new classroom for use in the ceremony held at the school. Mr. Nawang Tamba, Manager, Lautoka Branch and Mr. Ravi Soongra, Manager Nadi Branch New India Assurance, Nadi were also present.

Mr. Anasa, Head Teacher informed that in the past years of its existence in this School Urdu Students have been using the basement storeroom and he was thankful that they were able to survive the unfriendly class room environment during these past years. Now with the generous financial assistance pro- vided by New India Assurance, the children will be able to use New Urdu Class able to use New Urdu Class Room. The School Management had extended their heartiest thanks to Mr. G Srinivasan, Chairman cum Managing Director and the local management of New India Assurance for the financial assistance provided to their school.
